The Metropolitan Police said that a 48-year-old journalist was “interviewed under caution”  by officers investigating phone hacking. No arrest was made.
The Metropolitan Police is linking the questioning to a specific inquiry into phone hacking at Mirror Group Newspapers. Morgan edited The Daily Mirror newspaper, one of the UK’s top tabloids, between 1995 and 2004. He has told a British inquiry he was not aware of any phone hacking during his tenure.
