Bloomberg to build pagan complex in London

According to NYT, NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg to build two bronze-and-stone towers (Joachim and Boaz), connected by sky-bridges atop the ruins of a 2,000-year-old Roman temple. An Anglophile with a taste for English Regency style, Bloomberg , has long yearned for influence in London, a kind of Bloomberg utopia where guns are banned and drivers pay a fee at peak hours. Temple of Mithras, a relic from London’s days under Roman rule, first uncovered in 1954, a sacrificial altar for an ancient religion, is being restored at Mr. Bloomberg’s expense. Dozens of artifacts, including coins, pewter bowls, jewelry and, preserved just where it was found, a human skull will become the property of Bloomberg L.P., spoils of an expanding modern-day empire.
